This article from Franklin Sanders should remind us as Christian parents to lay an economic foundation for our children. A foundation based on being industrious and working for themselves, never taking on debt and providing as much food for themselves, their families and others as possible...i.e. teach our children to farm.

It would be wise as parents to develop a homestead mindset where we can leave our children land, a home or homes, a place to raise their own food and a way to provide for their needs without having to be enslaved by the employment system.
