I was discussing with a friend of mine last week about
how ignorant the Body of Christ is when it comes to possible economic
and societal outcomes in the future. I find that very few Christians
are even aware that some serious changes could take place in the
future, let alone even prepared for it.
Despite your eschatological view, there can certainly be times of turmoil for the Body of Christ. If you don't think so, please see:
The persecution of the early church
Persecution of protestant reformers
Persecution of the ana-baptists from both the Roman Catholic church and the protestent reformers
Persecution of modern Christian groups throughout the world
Though we may not be persecuted, we can still suffer the effects of economic and societal collapse. Of all people, Christians should be prepared for this, so that our families will be safe, our brothers and sisters will be safe and provided for if need be and so that the Body of Christ can be a help, witness and testimony to the lost during such a time. I have, over time tried to point these things out on this Website and provide helpful information and resources to help you plan and prepare. No you should not be chicken little, but you should be wise.
"He who has an ear to hear, let him hear."
Kevin Swanson on his Generations Radio program interviews two "economists" (I say that, because I am not exactly sure if they are) on his program.
Below are the links to these two broadcasts:
Worse Case Scenario with Brad Hamill: Many Americans have the premonition that something really bad is about
to happen. It's hard to think that spending yourself into debt and
bankruptcy, and then spending yourself out of bankrutpcy with more debt
is going to result in anything but utter catastrophe. But there are two
ways to deal with the WCS – the Ostrich way and Chicken Little's
approach.
Kevin Swanson interviews Brad Hamill from the Hamill
Economic Update on the present economic conditions, the possibilities
of an economic depression, and how to prepare for it now. You can recieve Brad's Economic Update by going here.

Worse Case Scenario Part 2 with Doug Tjaden: We don't do windows, and we don't do the future. But we do work our
Plan A, Plan B, and Plan C, while trusting God for the outcome. With
inevitable economic readjustments coming within the next generation,
how do we prepare our children for these adjustments and how do we make
it through the transition? These important questions are addressed with
Doug Tjaden, author of “Traditions of Men,” in a sensible and careful
way on this edition of Generations.

I highly recommend you listen to both of these programs.
