Brad Hamill is a Christian homeschooling father that has been involved in the financial industry for the last ten years.  His primary involvement was working in the field of accreditation for senior level management of major financial institutions.  Brad is currently working in the field of residential and commercial real-estate asset management.

The Hamill Economic Update is a freely available newsletter and analysis that is published on a semi-daily basis.  Those wishing to subscribe to the Update can do so by emailing Brad with your request: economics@datatogo.com.

OH! And by the way...The Christian Economic Report and/or its other authors and contributors may or may not agree with all of Mr. Hamill's views, opinions and perspectives on economic issues. And vice-versa.

Our Federal government is in a pickle.  Both corporate and individual tax receipts have dropped to levels even worse than the 1st quarter of 2008.  Our government needs an infusion of money, or it risks going into cardiac arrest.

Enter the Health Care bill.  This legislation would not take physical effect until 2013 – and some parts of it not until 2018.  Yet the taxes for it would begin this year.

Here we sit in a seesaw battle between the international bankers and the governments of the world.

The bankers are destroying credit (money) in a move towards driving people and businesses into bankruptcy, in order to steal the underlying physical assets backing the loans.

The governments are undergoing an effort to create new debt (money) as fast as possible in order to equalize the credit destruction being caused by the banks.  They’re doing a really good job of it – at least for now.

Let’s look at a few charts that will hopefully demonstrate to you the charade that is being played out.

The Federal government is still trying to sneak through the king of all “trust” funds in the form of the Health Care bill.  I’ve written extensively on what their target will be if this legislation ultimately goes up in smoke – namely, retirement accounts.

Plain and simple, the Federal government needs lots of dollars, and it doesn’t have many more places to get them.

We saw a very large move in the markets today where investors are betting heavily on inflation – at least that’s the “surface” appearance.

Gold and oil were up strongly.  The US Dollar Index had a good-sized drop.  But what are the other numbers telling us?
